Susan Manchester for State Senate
It’s a great honor to serve as your conservative voice in the state legislature! With our friend Matt Huffman facing term limits next year, I am excited to be running in the 2024 Republican primary for the open state senate seat he currently represents.
With important issues facing the future of our state and nation, it is more important than ever that we have proven conservatives in these key positions in government. I have built a conservative voting record in the Ohio House, where I have represented all or part of Allen, Auglaize, Shelby, Mercer, and Darke counties.
My record includes balancing the state budget while cutting taxes, enacting pro-life bills, and protecting our Second Amendment rights. But perhaps what makes me different than most is my unflinching willingness to stand up to the political bosses in Columbus, even when it meant standing up to the leaders of my own party. This includes a high-profile fight against the statehouse corruption that led to Speaker Larry Householder’s conviction, as well as stopping the unchecked Covid-19 regulations that cost our area jobs, money and freedom.
To me, standing up for what’s right in the face of immense pressure is all part of a day’s work. I credit my friend, mentor and former boss Jim Jordan for providing a guiding example of how you can be both conservative, and effective! Many think you must be timid and agreeable to be successful. Jim Jordan doesn’t believe that for one second, and neither do I!
Today’s challenges come from both Columbus AND Washington. The Democrats’ dangerous agenda includes open borders, more crime and drugs, and un-American ideas being taught in our schools. Our state legislature must remain vigilant to protect our values and our freedoms, and I’m ready for the fight!
